AFLO is the DA’s dedicated unit for transforming farm and fishery logistics. Its mandate spans infrastructure development, digital coordination, transport integration, and cold chain delivery systems—all designed to ensure food reaches markets quickly, safely, and affordably.
Here are some of AFLO’s existing projects:
₱3 billion allocated to build 99 cold storage facilities, including 65 modular chiller units (7–15 ton capacity) and two large warehouses in Camarines Sur, Occidental Mindoro, and Nueva Ecija
Modular cold storage units to be operational within 3 months, with large-scale warehouses (2,800–3,500 pallet capacity) targeted for completion in 18–22 months
First mega food hub planned in Clark, Pampanga on a 30–50 hectare site, designed to aggregate, cool, process, and distribute produce at scale
AFLO’s cold storage network, food hubs, and digital tracking tools are concrete examples of what this year’s Agrilink theme is all about, —“Logistics: The Key to an Efficient Market and Value Chain.”By cutting spoilage, improving shelf life, stabilizing prices, and expanding market access, these initiatives show how logistics can turn bottlenecks into opportunities for farmers, fisherfolk, and agribusinesses nationwide.
Don’t miss AFLO’s showcase at Agrilink 2025 — where infrastructure meets innovation, and every link in the chain pulls Philippine agriculture forward.
